Belz Gallery

The Belz Gallery is a Judaica museum which displays paintings, sculptures, and ritual objects that reflect the Jewish experience in the modern world. It includes eight thematic sections dedicated to Emancipation-era depictions of Jewish life, Eastern European-born Jewish artists and the School of Paris, hiddur mitzvah and aesthetics in Jewish ritual art, Jewish sculpture and memorial art in modern Israel, artistic responses to the Holocaust, and post-Soviet Jewish emigrant artists in Israel.

The Belz Gallery is located on the first floor of the Belz Building at 500 West 185th Street, New York, 10033.

Opening hours

Closed for the summer due to construction. We look forward to welcoming you at the beginning of the fall 2024 semester!

Monday- Thursday: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM*
Friday- Sunday: Closed*

*If you are a member of the YU Community and wish to schedule a special event in the Belz Gallery outside of regular opening hours, please refer to the guidelines provided by the Office of Events.
